BATL R&D Department is focused on design and development of innovative products in the fields of Space, Defence and Nuclear sectors. The Department comprises 15 Engineers qualified in the domain of R&D and has undertaken several critical and unique developmental jobs such as Three Piece Manipulator (TPM) and Radio Frequency Quadruplets (RFQ) for the nuclear sector and Air Borne Launcher (ABL) for the defence sector. Development of copper to copper brazing for cryo engine projects is another significant achievement. The R&D team is also involved in the following activities:
Process Design : Generating the process plan (Methods Sheet) for all projects being executed by BATL. This includes generating detailed process sequence activities, manufacturing drawings etc.
Tool Design : Designing and realization of all type of tooling requirement for the projects undertaken for execution by BATL. Tool Design includes the design of Jigs, Fixtures, Test Structures etc.
Our R&D efforts are recognized with DSIR certification.
